Piling

Piling

Piles are deep foundations which are used if the soil at foundation level cannot support any ordinary pad, strip or raft foundations. Piles transmit the load applied by the structure to bedrock, or a stronger soil layer.

Precast Driven piles are normally first cast at ground level and then placed into the ground using a pile driver. This machine allows each pile to be held vertically, and then driven into the ground by lifting and dropping a heavy weight on top of the pile, while this happens the pile is covered with a steel cap to prevent it from being damaged. The pile capacity has been achieved when the pile moves a calculated distance for a given hammer drop height.

Dinmaco Construction uses a wide range of techniques when it comes to the construction of piles; Rotary bored, Auger Displacement, Screw Piles, Ground Anchors, Mini Piling, and CFA Bored Piles.

Dinmaco Construction also has a range of bored and driven piling rigs suitable for projects such as; house extensions, basement construction, and restricted access sites.
